At YPIA, we understand that an intervention and prevention model should take place in a community to prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice system.
We combine mentoring, literacy, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) training, gardening, social and experiential learning to empower youth into becoming their best selves.
To complement group services, each mentee is assessed and provided an individual career plan to track their progress. In addition, YPIA has planned a calendar of community service and community building events to grow the spirit of giving and connection among our youth. The major aspects of our program are as the follows: the Triple "P" Program, Intervention Model, and Prevention Model.

Our Triple “P” Program (P3) works to unify the primary pillars of the community--Parents, Pastors and Principals--to build the foundation of our youth’s success. P3 was first implemented to serve an estimated 200+ youth. Now, YPIA continues to partner with local organizations with the intent to create a variety of services, activities, and events to serve youth nationwide.
Intervention Model: Level-Up Mentoring Program provides an opportunity for mentees to recover their identity outside of negative stereotypes and be empowered to begin the healing and recovery process through restorative circles. Through this, mentees also learn the need of support and skills to advocate for themselves in the home, community, and in schools.
Prevention Model: School-Based Mentoring Programs are designed to support mentees in the school setting with challenges in the classroom. We provide support in character development, conflict resolution, and a host of other skills to enhance mentee well-being.
