Young People in Action (YPIA) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Houston, Texas that provides individualized and group services for under-estimated youth. Our program is designed to uncover and develop their academic, creative, and leadership potential.
Initially envisioned and incorporated in 1992 by Samuel Frazier, YPIA was relaunched in 2015 under the management of Jonathan Zeigler (Executive Director) and Emmanuel Freeman (Western Region Director/COO) and has since experienced explosive growth.
With a holistic approach from caring professional staff, YPIA uses the latest innovative and effective techniques to deliver the impactful interventions focused on addressing the diverse complex needs of youth in the community. YPIA currently serves youth in three cities (Houston - TX, Los Angeles - CA, and Alexandria - LA) with future plans of expansion.
